Who Almost Played Dr. Preston Burke on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’?

Access Hollywood caught up with Isaiah Washington at the “Grey’s Anatomy” Season Two DVD release party, and we asked him about originally auditioning for the McDreamy role, which eventually went to Patrick Dempsey.

Dempsey confirmed the audition story, but then Washington told us about who almost got his role, of Dr. Preston Burke.
