Amy Winehouse Spotted Smoking After Hospital Release
Amy Winehouse has been released from the hospital, following treatment for a serious lung condition — but the songstress is already lighting up!
The British chanteuse was photographed having a cigarette on Monday, while on her way to rehearse for a scheduled performance at Friday’s Nelson Mandela birthday celebration.
Despite her father Mitch’s claims that Amy had already been diagnosed with emphysema, her rep told Access Hollywood, “Amy is showing early signs of what could lead to emphysema and is receiving treatment.”
Doctors have reportedly told the singer that smoking will only worsen her condition.
Mandela concert organizers were pleased with Amy’s rehearsal, a rep for Amy told People, but Amy’s appearance at the celebration is not a sure thing.
“Doctors have to give it the final sign off, but it went well,” he added. “She will really enjoy it – she always does.”
