‘Ant-Man’ Post-Credits Scenes Explained
It wouldn’t be a Marvel movie with a post-credits scene – and “Ant-Man” has two of them!
So skip the large soda, settle in and be patient because you’re not going to want to bolt from the theater until the house lights are turned on.
**SPOILER ALERT! Major non-ant-sized details ahead**
Not exactly a spoiler for those with the internet, but at the end of the film, “Ant-Man will return” is flashed across the screen. Paul Rudd will appear in “Captain America: Civil War,” and could go on to appear in multiple future Marvel movies.

Post Credits Scene #1 – Ant-Man Gets A Partner
Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne character finally takes on the mantle of the Wasp (who was originally her possibly-deceased mother Janet van Dyne) in the final moments of the movie – unless she goes with a different character name or persona. In the comics, the character is known as Red Queen, but we’re predicting with the movie’s set-up of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang taking over the Ant-Man from Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym – that we’ll see Ant-Man and Wasp reunited (possibly in an Ant-Man sequel) or future Marvel movie. Going back to the possibly deceased Janet van Dyne, since Scott “went sub-atomic” and returned from the world of the ultra-small, could Hope’s mom actually still be alive and possibly return? Future Marvel movies might answer that question!

Post Credits Scene #2 – Falcon Has Ant-Man In His Address Book
After a great scene in the movie where Ant-Man meets Falcon – and promptly kicks his Avenger butt – Anthony Mackie’s Falcon shows up in another scene – with Chris Evans’ Captain America! In a scene that had the audience cheering, Cap and Falcon have Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) chained up in some sort secret holding cell and it appears they are getting nowhere with their interrogation. After ruling out calling on the other Avengers for help with Bucky, Falcon tells Cap that he “knows a guy” – referring to Ant-Man. Could the sometimes-super small character end up playing a major role in “Civil War”? Will the character be Team Cap over Team Iron Man in the war of Marvel’s heroes? And what can Ant-Man do to make Bucky cooperate that Cap and Falcon can’t do?!
All of this will hopefully be answered on May 6, 2016 when Marvel’s heroes clash in “Captain America: Civil War.”
