Ariana Grande Reunites With Her Estranged Dad On Christmas

Ariana Grande is not saying “Thank U, Next” to her relationship with her dad this holiday season!

The mega pop star reconnected with her estranged father, Edward Butera, on Christmas. The 25-year-old singer revealed on her Instagram story that she and her dad FaceTimed on Tuesday, sharing a black-and-white snap of her father smiling on her phone.

The digital reunion comes just weeks after the singer released her smash single, “Thank U, Next,” which briefly addresses the drama between Ari and her father.

“One day I’ll walk down the aisle/ holding hands with my mama/ I’ll be thanking my dad ’cause she grew from the drama,” she sings.

The songstress also opened up about the pair’s strained relationship during an interview with Seventeen back in 2014. Ari shared that “falling out of touch with (her) dad” was the hardest thing she had to go through at the time.

“The thing that got me there was embracing the fact that that I am made up of half my dad, and a lot of my traits come from him,” Ariana told the mag. “So much of me comes from my father, and for so long, I didn’t like that about myself. I had to accept that it’s okay not to get along with somebody and still love them.”

However, Ari’s relationship with her dad is definitely getting better!

For Father’s Day 2017, the “God Is a Woman” singer posted an adorable throwback pic of her dad holding her as a baby.
