Foo Fighters Cancel European Tour After Paris Attacks: ‘We Can’t Continue’

The Foo Fighters have canceled the remainder of their European tour following the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday.

The Dave Grohl-fronted band announced the news in a statement released on Saturday.

“It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour,” the Foos said in a statement to Access Hollywood, following Friday’s terrorist attacks that killed at least 129 people and injured more than 350. “In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can’t continue right now.

“There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks,” the statement continued. “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one.”

The band had been scheduled to perform in Paris on Monday.

U2 also postponed a concert scheduled to take place in Paris (and air on HBO) on Saturday, while Paris promotional events for films “Bridge of Spies” and the Natalie Portman-led “Jane Got a Gun” were also canceled.

On the TV side, NBC’s comedy “Undateable,” starring Brent Morin and Chris D’Elia, decided against performing their scheduled live show on Friday night following the terrorist attacks.

“Out of respect for the victims in Paris we won’t be doing a live show tonight,” Chris wrote in a Facebook post, along with a group photo of the cast holding signs showing their support for the city. “It’s doesn’t feel right. Love for all.”
