‘Game Of Thrones’ Casts Max Von Sydow As Three-Eyed Raven For Season 6

Max von Sydow is taking on an intriguing role in “Game of Thrones” Season 6.

Max, an alum of “The Exorcist,” “Flash Gordon” and “Minority Report,” and a star of the upcoming “Star Wars Episode VII — The Force Awakens,” will play the Three-Eyed Raven, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Brandon Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick) and Hodor (Kristian Nairn) met the character at the end of Season 4, the last time the trio was seen. At the time, the character, who appeared in the roots under a tree, was played by Struan Rodger.

Bran, Meera and Hodor were absent from Season 5, but recently, the young actor who plays the Stark confirmed he would be back.

“I can’t say a lot but I am back this season,” Isaac previously told the Irish Examiner.

“And it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions,” the 16-year-old added.

“Game of Thrones” Season 6 is currently in production. It will return to HBO next year.
