Jordin Sparks Set For NBA All-Star Serenade

“American Idol” alum Jordin Sparks is ready for an All-Star serenade.

The Grammy nominee will return to her hometown of Phoenix, Ariz., to perform the National Anthem prior to the start of the 2009 NBA All-Star Game at US Airways Center on Sunday, Feb. 15, the NBA announced on Friday

Sparks, the winner of “Idol’s” sixth season, is up for Best Pop Collaboration for the song “No Air” with Chris Brown at the 2009 Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

In signing on for her All-Star gig, Jordin joins several of her fellow “Idol” alumnus who have lent their talents for sports performances.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, David Archuleta is headed to Hawaii to sing the National Anthem prior to the NFL Pro Bowl this weekend, and Jennifer Hudson made her triumphant return to the stage at last weekend’s Super Bowl.
