Britney Spears’ Legal Team Wants Off The Case

Britney Spears’ lawyers, Trope and Trope, today filed a petition in court asking a judge to relieve them from representing her.

“There has been a breakdown in communications between Petitioner [Britney] and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible,” the law firm wrote in their declaration to the court, obtained by Access Hollywood.

If a judge grants the motion, Trope and Trope will be the third legal team since the fall of 2007 to split with the pop star.

She was originally represented in her divorce and custody battle with ex Kevin Federline by Laura Wasser. In September she switched to Marci Levine, who served just two days as her lawyer.
