UPDATE: Farrah Fawcett ‘Feeling Good’; Surgery Reports False
Contrary to reports, Farrah Fawcett has not undergone any surgical procedures to treat her cancer.
Farrah’s good friend and executive producer of “Chasing Farrah,” Craig Nevius, came to Access Hollywood to clear up the rumors.
Craig told Access that the only treatments Farrah has undergone thus far have been chemotherapy and radiation.
While there is a possibility she will need surgery after the chemo and radiation treatments, her doctors no longer believe it will be necessary, Craig confirmed.
Another rumor Farrah wanted cleared up was reports that the actress had lost her will to live.
Published tabloid reports claimed Farrah was begging friends and family to let her die, claiming she was ready to enjoy her last Christmas and then let go.
However, Craig told Access this is also completely false.
Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts sat down with Nevius earlier this month for an update on Farrah’s condition.
“During treatment, how sick was Farrah?” Tony asked.
“She was nowhere near death’s door. You wouldn’t know she was sick unless you knew she was sick. You would think she was just fatigued or getting over the flu,” Craig explained.
Also helping her on her road to recovery is her longtime love Ryan O’Neal.
“Ryan has been a real hero. Nobody can maker her laugh like Ryan can and laughter is very important her doctors tell her,” Craig added.
In fact, Ryan and Farrah were out and about this week at a jewelry store and Ryan gave some more insight as to Farrah’s health.
“She’s doing great, not perfect but great,” Ryan confirmed.
And with a thumbs up, a smile and her voice strong, Farrah made her way out of the jewelry store and put to rest any rumors about losing her will to live
“Feeling good,” she smiled.
