Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans
‘Camp Rock’ To Rock Some More: If you’re still thirsting for more Joe, Kevin, Nick, and Demi, better known to tweens as the cast of Disney’s “Camp Rock,” fear not, the studio has announced plans for a sequel to the Disney Channel hit, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The sequel could go into production by spring or summer 2009. Until then, there’s always “J.O.N.A.S.” and “Welcome to Mollywood,” to hold over your ‘tween and your own inner-tween.
No Puppy-Gate For Paris: Paris Hilton, who is known to love a good accessory, does not consider a puppy to be one of them, according to her MySpace blog. The hotel heiress denies reports she was refused a puppy recently. “I read [that I was] walking by some puppies for sale, and demanding that I be given a Yorkie puppy to be an accessory for a photo shoot,” she wrote on her blog. “I wasn’t looking for a new pet. I wasn’t even at a photo shoot that day. Puppies are not accessories or toys and I love my own pets dearly. I treat them as if they were my children. It is sad that someone felt the need to invent a story about me throwing a fit for a dog that would ‘go with my outfit.” Well, considering past Paris moments, this is not the craziest thing we’ve ever heard!
Amy Lights Up: Amy Winehouse and Shia LaBeouf seems to have a lot in common lately — lighting up when they shouldn’t! Just hours after being released from the hospital for treatment of a serious lung condition that could lead to emphysema, Amy was photographed smoking on her way to a rehearsal, People reports. Doctors have reportedly told the singer that smoking will only worsen her condition. Maybe Amy will sing about smoking in an upcoming song and win a Grammy for it. “No, no, no!”
‘Grease’ Star Dies: Dody Goodman, who might be best know to most from “Grease” and “Grease 2,” for playing Blanche, the principal’s wacky assistant, has died at 93, The Associated Press reports. The actress also made appearances on “The Jack Paar Show,” “Diff’rent Strokes,” “St. Elsewhere” and “Murder, She Wrote.”
