Paul Feig Shares New Photo Of ‘Ghostbusters’ Car
It’s definitely easier to bust ghosts with a new set of wheels!
Director Paul Feig unveiled another peek at his female-led “Ghostbusters” reboot on Tuesday, Tweeting a shot of the famed Ecto-1 station wagon the ladies will be driving.

The car boasts a noticeably retro aesthetic that lines up with Feig’s previous teasers, especially one he posted on June 30 of the cast’s iconic proton packs. Fans of the original franchise immediately shared their thoughts on the vehicle, and some are not happy with the film’s throwback efforts.
@paulfeig I hate to say it, but it looks cheap and belongs in a second rate Con, not a feature film! #Ecto1

@paulfeig Don’t like it, it’s not as iconic as the original Ecto-1. I don’t have a good feeling about this #Ghostbusters movie.

@paulfeig The car is horrible. If you really wanted honest feedback, you should have posted artist renderings first before wasting money.

Although plenty others voiced enthusiastic support for Feig’s vision, the man behind such modern comedy classics as “Bridesmaids” took the criticism like a professional.
“Not blocking or deleting. I hear you all and appreciate all your input, good or bad. Thanks,” he Tweeted on Tuesday.

Despite the buzz , not all “Ghostbusters” news is prop-related. On Monday, TheWrap reported that “SNL” star Cecily Strong would be joining current and former colleagues Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig in an “unconfirmed” role, while Andy Garcia, “Veep” co-star Matt Walsh and “The Wire’s” Michael Kenneth Williams would help round out the supporting cast.
With top-billed Melissa McCarthy and Thor himself Chris Hemsworth adding to the film’s marquee appeal, does the Ecto-1 even have room for all this star power?
Feig’s “Ghostbusters” reboot is set to hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
