Brad Pitt On Aging, Family…& Paris Hilton?

(September 5, 2007) — At 43 years old, Brad Pitt has a lot to reflect on.

Not only is he one of the biggest movie stars in the world, he’s also built a family with Angelina Jolie — becoming a father to four children over just the past two and a half years!

But Brad tells Details magazine in the October issue that living a big life is just fine with him.

“Listen, I’ve always embraced extremes, so it doesn’t feel odd to me,” he says of becoming a dad to the kids so quickly. “There’s a couple weeks of finding your balance, and then it’s in stone.”

And with three adopted children from different parts of the world (as well as one biological child with Jolie), Pitt sees his family as a wonderful example of future possibilities.

“You just look at them and go, my daughter’s from Ethiopia, two sons from Asia, a daughter who’s born in Namibia — and they are brother and sister,” says Brad. “And that right there, sitting in our kitchen, is how I want to see the world. It’s how I want the world to be.”

And Brad & Angelina plan on expanding that little world. When asked about more kids, Brad simply states, “We’re not done.”

One thing he may wish he was “done” with though is the aging process. Despite the fact that he “liked” turning 40 a few years ago, Brad admits there are some drawbacks:

“One thing sucks, your face kind of goes. Your body’s not quite working the same. But you earned it. You earned that, things falling apart.”

Brad and Angelina, both separately and together, do what they can to keep the world at large from falling apart through their constant humanitarian efforts.

“It’s something that brought Angie and I together certainly,” he says. “She’s absolute evidence for me of someone facilitating changes for the better.”

And while Angelina may inspire Brad, another famous female most definitely does not.

“This Paris Hilton quest for fame…she’s blissfully oblivious,” Brad remarks. “We hadn’t seen television for…like a month. I’m probably exaggerating. And we just got back to the States. And we turned on CNN. And on comes Paris Hilton, going to jail. And so we just turned it off again.”
