Katie Couric’s New Look?

NEW YORK (August 16, 2006) — Katie Couric is anxious to start her new gig at CBS, as Access Hollywood?s Tim Vincent found out when he sat down with the new $15 million-a-year newswoman.

?I?m really thrilled to get ready and do the job instead of talking about it,? Katie told Tim.

Really excited, but slightly nervous as well. And while Katie is geared up for starting her new job, could she also be preparing for another project?

?Are you close to getting married again?? Tim asked her.

?Ya know, we?ll see what happens. I have a very fun and rich and exciting life and a very social life,? Katie said. ?Down the road, that might be a nice thing. My plate is full now with this new job and my girls, and with family, in due time.?

?And of course, Access Hollywood will be the first to know!? she smiled.

Dressed in a cream tailored suit, Katie did appear to be relaxed and focused on her September 5 debut.

Katie says her new look will be businesslike and professional because she doesn?t want her attire to be the focal point or distract from her work.

She will also anchor from a new set that is still under construction. Also in the works ? her tag line to sign off every night.

Katie said nothing pithy or appropriate has really leapt into her mind just yet.

?I may just say ?Thanks for watching,?? she revealed.

Katie also told Tim she?d like to invite Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Ann Curry to watch her first show.

?I will entice them with free cupcakes,? she laughed.
