Anne Heche Fires Back Over Ex’s ‘Heinous’ Claims

LOS ANGELES (May 23, 2007) — A week after Anne Heche’s estranged husband claimed the actress had displayed “bizarre and delusional behavior” and “poor parenting skills,” Heche is firing back.

In court documents obtained by Access Hollywood, Heche said she was “surprised” and “disappointed” by the .

“It is unfortunate that Coley chose to put his lies and distortions in the public record at this time while we are trying to reach an agreement on many of the issues,” Heche states in the papers filed on May 21 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Heche, 37, refuted Laffoon’s “heinous” claims, including that she never put their 5-year-old son, Homer, in a car seat and that she swears in front of the child.

She also denied Laffoon’s claims that Heche and her boyfriend shower and sleep in the same bed with the child.

“Coley accuses me of showering with Homer and my boyfriend together. What Coley neglects to say is that the shower was a rinse-off shower near the swimming pool at the building where I live. We had been swimming and rinsed off by the side of the pool,” Heche asserted, adding “Homer has not slpet in the same bed with my boyfriend and me. Homer has his own bed and he sleeps in it every night.”

Heche also rejected Laffoon’s claim that he is a stay-at-home dad.

Instead, she claims he sends the child to preschool or leaves him with nannies while he “plays ping pong, backgammon and poker and views pornography online.”

Heche is seeking sole legal and physical custody of Homer.

Heche and Laffoon married in September 2001. Since the couple separated in January, Homer has split time with both parents, according to Heche’s court papers.
