Jessica Simpson: Tiger Woods Rumors Are ‘A Lie!’

Jessica Simpson is shooting down a tabloid report suggesting any romantic link to embattled golfer Tiger Woods.

“can’t believe that I’m on the cover of star magazine with Tiger Woods, what a JOKE!,” the singer Tweeted on Wednesday. “‘The Shocking Inside Story’ is (insert drumroll) A LIE!”

The tabloid reported that Jessica and Tiger traded e-mail addresses and phone numbers after meeting at the AT&T National Pro-Am golf tournament in Bethesda, Md., in July.

A source close to the singer also told Access Hollywood that the report was not true and called the claims “ridiculous.”

“Literally the only thing that’s true in the story is the fact that they met,” the source told Access. “It was a quick meeting, and they posed for a photo together- that was it.”

Of course, Jessica does have her ties to pro athletes.

In July, Jessica was dating Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo. The two split later that month.
