Gigi Hadid Transforms Into Debbie Harry In Sexy, Rock ‘N’ Roll W Magazine Cover

Gigi Hadid has Blondie on the brain!

For the December cover of W Magazine, the supermodel channeled new wave goddess Debbie Harry in a series of sultry, ’70s-inspired snaps.

To fully resemble the rock star, Gigi underwent a major hair transformation, turning her beach blonde locks into a platinum shag. The switched-up ‘do wowed fans and fellow celebs – some of whom encouraged her to make the look permanent!

“Wow I LOVE. I really think you need to go platinum for a second… it’s such a vibe,” Hailey Baldwin wrote on Instagram.

Gigi modeled nine different looks – from a glitzy, low-cut mini dress to a brick-red jumpsuit – for the magazine spread. Before getting in front of the cameras, the 23-year-old did her homework, studying a wall full of iconic photos of Debbie to make sure her own pics would leave as strong of an impression.

“I’ve always studied how models made pictures,” Gigi told W. “It’s always been important to me to make a picture better. I can look at a shot and see where I fit into it, what I can add to the picture. I don’t want to be just another person on the page. I want people to see the new picture with me and one day remember it the way we remember these pictures of Debbie Harry.”
