Hayden Panettiere & Boxer Wladmir Klitschko Split After 2 Years

Hayden Panettiere and heavyweight boxing champion Wladmir Klitschko have ended their relationship.

“Even though we’ve decided splitting up is best for both of us, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends,” the 21-year-old “Scream 4” actress told People.

According to the 35-year-old Ukrainian boxing champ, distance took its toll on their two-year relationship.

“We had a great time together, but it’s not that easy to manage a relationship between two continents,” Wladmir told the mag. “I have a lot of respect for Hayden as a person and as a friend, and I believe we’ll keep our friendship even after the separation.”

The pair was last seen together in April at the Tribeca Film Festival at the premiere of the documentary “Klitschko,” which is about Wladmir and his brother’s lives as boxers.
