Lindsay Lohan Sent Back To Jail

Lindsay Lohan was taken into custody and sent back to jail on Friday for violating her probation.

Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox, who presided over the hearing on Friday, did not grant the actress bail.

Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, attempted to have the judge grant bail, which would’ve allowed the actress to be released, but Judge Fox denied that request.

Lohan, who wore a black blazer, skirt and a pair of black Christian Louboutin heels, did not cry after the sentence was handed down and she was handcuffed.

Prior to the hearing getting underway, the actress was seen laughing and talking to her attorney as they waited for the judge.

When Judge Fox entered the courtroom, the entire room – including Lindsay – stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, who was seated in the back of the courtroom opposite Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohan, mouthed, “I love you” to his daughter after she was taken into custody.

Lindsay’s next hearing will take place on October 22.

Following the hearing, Access caught up with Dina, who had a bag filled with Lindsay’s clothes. When asked about the morning’s events, she told an Access producer, “No comment honey.”

Lohan’s latest sentence comes exactly one month after she was released from UCLA Medical Center where she underwent court ordered rehab treatment, following her release from jail.

Lohan spent 22 days of a 90-day rehab sentence at UCLA in August, and before that, 13 days at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., back in July.

On Monday, Lohan’s probation was revoked, days after reports surfaced that she had failed at least one drug test, something she later admitted on Twitter, hours after first batting away the reports to Us Weekly, telling the mag, “I’m fine” and adding, “They’re all crazy,” of TMZ, one of the first outlets to report she failed a drug test.

“Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night,” Lohan Tweeted on Friday, September 17. “I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future.”

Lohan went on to Tweet that she knew she made a mistake, and was aware of the potential punishment her behavior could incur.

“This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences,” she wrote.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, at Lohan’s Aug. 25 court hearing, Judge Fox imposed serious conditions as part of her probation, including random drug and alcohol testing.
