Judge Overturns Jailing Of Lindsay Lohan, Actress Granted $300,000 Bail

‬‪Lindsay Lohan could be a free woman as early as tonight.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Schnegg reversed Judge Elden S. Fox’s decision on Friday to hold Lohan in custody without bail for violating the terms of her probation by failing a drug test.

Schnegg’s decision was the result of a Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, filing a petition for writ of habeas corpus, challenging the court’s ruling on Friday morning that Lohan not be granted bail.

Judge Schnegg, who previously presided over Chris Brown’s case, signed an order late Friday evening in Los Angeles, granting the actress bail.

Lohan’s bail has been set at $300,000.

As part of the conditions of her bail, a SCRAM alcohol monitoring device must be put on Lohan’s body within 24 hours of her release.

Additionally, she has been ordered not to possess “any controlled substances or associated paraphernalia, except with a valid prescription,” according to the court order, obtained by Access Hollywood.

Lohan must also steer clear of places where “users or buyers congregate” except in an “authorized” treatment program.

The actress has also been banned from drinking alcohol and being in places where alcohol is the main beverage sold.

Lohan’s next hearing is on October 22.
