Christina Applegate Feeling ‘So Much Better’
Christina Applegate’s successful battle with breast cancer has left her feeling good – and ready to hug again.
“I was really afraid of people hugging me,” she said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Friday, of her appearance on the “Stand Up To Cancer” telethon. “People are really huggy at those things.”
Ellen, who also appeared at the event, apologized for hugging Christina, but it wasn’t necessary.
“Now I’m good, I’ll grab ya,” Christina said.
“I’m going to hug you a bunch during this commercial break,” Ellen responded.
The “Samantha Who?” star says she’s feeling “so much better,” and was well enough to get back on set, where she kept her diagnosis a secret.
“I went back to work for about five weeks right after the second surgery,” she said. “I didn’t tell anyone.”
Christina said she only revealed her cancer treatment on the set to her hair and make-up people.
“And people that are really close to me,” she said. “Just so that I had a protection wall.”
