‘The Flash’: Robbie Amell On Firestorm Part 2, Working With Victor Garber & Clancy Brown

General Wade Eiling is back in Central City on Tuesday’s “The Flash,” and he wants Firestorm.
For Robbie Amell, who plays Ronnie (one half of Firestorm), the General’s goal gave him the chance to work with two celebrated actors – Victor Garber (Dr. Stein and the other half of Firestorm) and Clancy Brown (who plays Eiling).
“They couldn’t be nicer,” Robbie told Access Hollywood of his two impressive co-stars. “There’s a great scene where it’s Victor and I merging and unmerging and having to kind of go up against Clancy, so it was me, Victor and Clancy just hanging out in a warming tent in the middle of Vancouver until 6 o’clock in the morning. And just getting to shoot the [breeze] with those guys and hang out and pick their brains, I mean, it was great. … It’s every actor’s dream.”

This week’s episode will see the two men who make up Firestorm – Ronnie (Robbie) and Dr. Stein (Victor) – unmerge. There’s also something to do with time travel.
“It doesn’t especially affect Ronnie right away, but it’s definitely a catalyst for the rest of the season. I don’t know how much I’m allowed to tell you, so I’m just going to leave it at that,” Robbie laughed.

As for what’s next with Ronnie and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), as Access previously reported, that will be new territory for the both of them.
“Once [Ronnie and Dr. Stein] are separated, it’s really Ronnie and Caitlin trying to figure things out and a lot has changed in a year,” Robbie said. “She’s now hunting and taking down meta-humans and he’s looking for something a little quieter because he just spent a year sharing his brain with Dr. Stein.”
“The Flash” airs Tuesday at 8/7c on The CW.
