Stars Tweet Over Lakers Championship

The Los Angeles Lakers brought home another NBA title on Thursday night with a win over the Boston Celtics in a tense Game 7 – and Hollywood’s stars are Tweeting their hometown pride.

“Mornin! Woke up with a WORLD CHAMP hangover! Couldn’t even tweet from the game last night I was so nervous! Congrats LAKERS you earned it!” Holly Robinson Peete Tweeted.

“Congrats Kobe and the Lakers. Proud night in LA. I love watching dreams come true. It inspires me!! Goodnight,” Joel Madden posted on his Twitter page.

Others used the occasion for laughs as well as joy.

“Celebrating Lakers win, LA style, by lighting neighbor’s car on fire,” Nia Vardalos joked.

Nicole Richie also looked for humor in the victory, Tweeting at Lakers forward Lamar Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian.

“Oooooohhhh @khloekardashian looks like someone’s gonna have to give it UP tonight!!!” Nicole Tweeted.

Khloe herself hit up her Twitter page with her own celebratory message for her NBA husband.

“I am sooooo proud of Lamar! That moment I will remember forever,” Khloe Tweeted on Friday morning.

“OMG Congrats champions!!!” her sister Kim added, Tweeting a picture of herself and Khloe in championship hats. “@RealLamarOdom and the LAKERS!!!”

Access Hollywood’s own Maria Menounos got into the mix with a Tweet supporting her Boston Celtics.

“Hey celts fans…at least we had the lakers trembling all the way to the end!” she Tweeted. “We gave it everything…amazing effort.”

Dane Cook, her NBA Finals courtside partner-in-crime, also Tweeted his support for the Celtics.

“I’m damn proud [of] our boys. The Celtics had heart & hustle. That game was one for the ages. Could have gone either way,” he Tweeted. “Congrats Lakers.”
