Ratings Scoreboard: ‘Heroes’ Soars; ‘Studio 60’ Tumbles (October 17, 2006)
CBS is tops on Monday in today’s Access Ratings Scoreboard.
The Eye Net continues to dominate Monday night with an average of 13.8 million viewers. NBC lands in second and ABC was a distant third. Ratings powerhouse “CSI: Miami” was last night’s most watched show with a little over 18 million tuning in. “Deal or No Deal” and “Two and a Half Men” round out the night’s top three.
It was more good news/bad news for NBC as “Heroes” continues to soar and “Studio 60” falls.
The super hero drama is holding steady week-to-week with an average of 13 million viewers while the critically acclaimed Aaron Sorkin drama continues to hemorrhage viewers dropping to its lowest audience for the season so far.
The ratings tracks for both shows tell the story:
“Heroes”
9/25 -14.1 million viewers (premiere)
10/2 -13 million viewers
10/9 -13.3 million viewers
10/16 -13 million viewers
“Studio 60”
9/18 – 13.4 million viewers (premiere)
9/25 – 10.8 million viewers
10/2 – 8.9 million viewers
10/9 – 8.7 million viewers
10/16 – 7.7 million viewers
As I said last week, let’s hope the Peacock comes to its senses and moves “Studio 60” to another night before its too late. There could be an opening in the network’s Tuesday night schedule in the very near future.
