Bobby Brown’s Lawyer: Bobbi Kristina Showing ‘Improvement’

Bobby Brown’s lawyer is clearing up conflicting reports of the condition of Bobbi Kristina Brown.

“Due to the numerous requests for an elaboration of the comments made by Bobby Brown on Saturday April 18, 2015 at his concert in Texas, there is a need to clarify the reports on the condition of Bobbi Kristina.” Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, legal counsel for Bobby Brown, said in a statement on Monday.

“Bobbi Kristina’s condition has changed since moving from Emory University Hospital and there has been improvement. Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life.

However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come,” the statement continued.

Over the weekend, Bobby Brown seemed to hint during a performance on Saturday that his and Whitney Houston’s daughter may be on the upswing after being found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub in January.

“Bobbi is awake,” he told cheering concertgoers during a show in Dallas. “She’s watching me.”

His wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, released a statement clarifying that Brown was in “an emotional state” as he hit the stage over the weekend and made his statements regarding his excitement about Bobbi Kristina

“My husband made an attempt to correct the negative comments he must endure on a daily basis from both family and the public regarding his daughter’s medical condition,” she said on Monday. “He is encouraged by the steps that Bobbi Kristina has made since her hospitalization on January 31, 2015. She has made it out of ICU, opened her eyes, and started a rehabilitation that will be long and hard. We will hold on to all the blessings God gives us to help her at this time and we look forward to her having a relationship with her unborn sister as our family grows in love and faith. I just wish my husband could deal with this most painful and difficult time with people surrounding him who fully support and pray for Bobbi Kristina’s recovery and only her recovery. Life is the most precious thing that we all have.”

Earlier on Monday, a source close to the Houston family told Access Hollywood, “She is no longer on the [ventilator], but her condition remains unchanged from when she was admitted.”
