‘They Thought I Was Getting Married And The Movie Was The Cover’
(September 13, 2006) — Don?t believe everything you see.
So many people were convinced recently that Eva Longoria was marrying her boyfriend Tony Parker, when she was actually shooting a scene in which she plays a bride for her upcoming film ?How I Met My Boyfriend?s Dead Fiancée?, that it got back to her family.
?We’ve had so many calls that they thought it was mine and Tony?s wedding!? laughs the ?Desperate Housewives? star. ?They were like ?Her mom is here, the best friend is here and Tony is here. They are getting married!? And they thought the movie was the cover!?
Luckily for everyone who thought they weren?t invited, Eva was just playing a bride. And luckily for Tony, Eva?s kissing scenes with co-star Paul Rudd were only for the movie, too. (Although she does admit shooting the kisses was ?so fun?!)
However, Eva doesn?t get to play a bride for long. In fact, her character dies on her wedding day, only to return as a ?bitchy ghost? to haunt Paul?s new girlfriend played by Lake Bell, which is something she says she would absolutely do if she were to (god forbid!) die and Tony were to find another woman.
But rather than dwell on something so creepy, Eva would rather think about the day she really does get married, saying, ?Its going to happen when it happens, I think children and marriage and all of that its just a blessing so it will happen when it happen. I like working I want to work really hard right now and in 5 years have babies and do nothing.?
