‘Lost’ Exec Producers Answer Jimmy Kimmel’s Questions
ABC’s “Lost” has returned for its sixth and final season – and executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” following the show’s return on Wednesday night to take questions from the funnyman.
“The meal on the flight – lasagna,” Jimmy joked in a series of questions about whether events in the two-hour premiere were coincidence or fate.
“We actually spent about a month in the room working on that meal and came to lasagna,” Carlton said. “That’ll pay off in a big way.”
But the pair wouldn’t give away any big secrets from the mysterious show, and earlier in the evening, Jimmy expressed his frustration with the ABC drama.
“Watching ‘Lost’ is like what I imagine it might be like to be trapped in Paula Abdul’s brain,” Jimmy joked.
The comedian then played a clip from “Lost” with “a new character that I like a lot” – himself.
Jimmy appeared inserted into a scene with Hurley (Jorge Garcia), turning a serious moment funny.
“I want you to walk on my back, with your shoes off,” Jimmy joked.
“Dude, that’s why Jin went to go get Jack,” Hurley responded.
“Jack never cuts his toenails and it pokes me and it hurts!” Jimmy told him.
During their appearance, Cuse and Lindelof also announced the much-anticipated two-hour finale airdate of the show — Sunday, May 23, a special night for the usually Tuesday-aired series.
