Matthew Morrison Dishes On Dating & Getting Kicked In His ‘Man-Love’ By Gwyneth Paltrow

Matthew Morrison’s “Glee” character, Will Schuester, has been unlucky at love on his hit FOX series, and in real life, the actor revealed he’s not currently ready for a serious relationship.

“I’m not dating anyone at the moment. I don’t feel like I’m in a good place to be a good boyfriend,” Matthew told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood Live. “I know how much work it is to be in a relationship and I don’t have that time to put in that work right now.”

On tonight’s episode of “Glee,” Gwyneth Paltrow returns as substitute teacher Holly Holiday and things get intimate — and dangerous — between the Oscar winner and Matthew.

“We did a little tango, Holly Holiday and I… we’re doing the Argentine tango, so you’re in-between their legs and you’re kicking up and stuff, so she’s kicking in here,” Matt explained, pointing towards his inner thigh. “And she’s like, ‘I’m so scared that I’m going to hit your man-love!’ And I said, ‘You know, just go for it.’ And she did and she connected a couple of times.”

Despite Gwyneth’s full contact dancing, Matthew has been overjoyed to have the actress guest star on “Glee.”

“She’s the best! Isn’t she so good on the show? I’m just so happy,” he told Billy and Kit. “The show tonight is just incredible, it’s called, ‘Sexy’ and she comes back as a sex-ed teacher and we teach the kids about sex through music.”

“Do you get to make out with her at all? Is there a smooch scene?” Billy asked.

“We’ll see tonight,” Matthew coyly said.

The former Broadway star also gave Billy and Kit the scoop on singing with Elton John on his upcoming album.

“I reached out to him. I did some work with his AIDS foundation and he’s just an amazing guy and he’s a big fan of ‘Glee.’ I was actually just listening to that track we did today… it’s an epic song,” he said. “It’s ‘Mona Lisas and Madhatters’ and it kind of goes into ‘Rocket Man,’ and I was listening to it, and just hearing Elton John’s voice, and his voice fades out and my voice comes in, and I’m like, ‘What world am I living in right now? It’s just, like, crazy!’”

Matthew also dished on his just-released new single, “Summer Rain,” which was inspired by a former love.

“It’s kind of about making love on a roof,” he revealed to Billy and Kit. “I wanted to capture a moment in time that I had with an ex-girlfriend of mine. It was such a beautiful moment, it was about being young and in New York… it was something when I’m 65, I’ll gonna look back on and be like, ‘That was an awesome moment.’ It’s one of those memory burns you have and I really wanted to make a song out of it. It was actually the first song I wrote on the album.”

Kit also asked Matthew if rumors of a Sting duet on the album were true.

“Interesting rumor,” he said with a smile.

The “Glee” star’s self-titled album is due out in May and his first single, “Summer Rain,” is available for download now.
