Miss Golden Globe 2015: Greer Grammer

Meet 2015’s Miss Golden Globe: Greer Grammer.

The 22-year-old is the daughter of “Frasier” alum Kelsey Grammer and Barrie Buckner.

“I am flattered to have been chosen by the HFPA for this year’s Miss Golden Globe,” Greer said in a statement. “It’s truly an honor to be included in this experience that so many incredible men and women have been a part of.”

Like her famous father, Greer is an actress. Her resume includes playing cheerleader Lissa in “Awkward,” and she will be seen in ABC Family’s “Melissa and Joey” next year.

Greer told Teen Vogue she’s hoping one day to do some work behind the camera.

“I really want to direct,” she told the mag, earlier this year. “I took a directing class last semester and I’m taking another one this semester and I really love it.”

Previous Miss Golden Globes have included Linda Evans (1964), Melanie Griffith (1975), Laura Dern (1982), Joely Fisher (1992), the new Anastasia Steele from “Fifty Shades of Grey” – Dakota Johnson (2006), Rumer Willis (2008), Francesca Eastwood (2013) and Sosie Bacon (2014).

Miss Golden Globe has a prominent place at the annual awards show, helping to escort celebrities on and off stage.

The 72nd Golden Globe Awards air live on NBC on January 11, 2015, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
