Ashley Benson’s Cecil Halloween Costume Controversy
“Pretty Little Liars” star Ashley Benson caused an uproar with her Halloween costume on Tuesday.
“Help! Can’t decide on my Halloween costume this year! What do you guys think of this cecil the lion costume? @yandy #thanksyandy #halloweencostume,” the actress posted on Instagram posing in a lion costume.
Fans flooded her post with comments about wearing a costume based on the beloved slain animal, including “It is in poor taste,” and “It’s a shame lions can’t wear dead ignorant humans as costumes. Totally unaware douche.”

After the backlash, the “PLP” actress edited her post to say, “What do you guys think of this lion costume?”
Beyond changing the caption, the actress has remained silent on her Halloween costume search snafu.
