Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas Hold Epic Family Dance Competition At Over-The-Top Indian Wedding!
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra turned their wedding into the biggest party of all time, including an epic dance competition between the bride and groom’s family that combined New Jersey and Bollywood!
Priyanka revealed footage of the colorful and competitive celebration, which was held on Friday night as part of the sangeet, an over-the-top Hindu party which always includes tons of dance!
“It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love,” Priyanka wrote on Instagram alongside video and photos of the amazing celebration.
“Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together.”

“And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. Nick’s family, which includes his famous Jonas Brothers, Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas and younger brother, Frankie Jonas, as well as “Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner, definitely didn’t hold back. Nick was seen center stage busting a move Bollywood-style.
Nick and his brother’s sang together and also got a little help from the rest of their musical family and friends. Nick’s team also included his “Kingdom” co-star, Jonathan Tucker.
But Priyanka’s family is just as talented, with tons of entertainers on her side. The bride shared a special dance with her mother, Madhu Chopra.
The video of the celebration was set to “Deep Into the Wild” by Honoraries feat. Volunteer, and definitely set the tone for the beautiful, glittering celebration.

Priyanka and Nick both dazzled in traditional ensembles at the special evening, wearing designs from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, who took to Instagram to share the special news. Priyanka’s bridal look was a gold sari with custom embroidery and gold and silver sequins. Meanwhile Nick looked like a prince in a deep navy blue sherwani with silk thread detailing.
The evening was held at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, which was the center of all the wedding activities. The couple also had a traditional mehendi ceremony where Nick played cricket!
This glam bride and groom definitely know two things — how to celebrate love and throw one heck of a party!
