Catfights! And… More Catfights! ‘Jersey Shore’ Is Back With New Drama For Second Half Of Season 2

The “Jersey Shore” is coming back with a vengeance for the second half of their second season! The raucous group returns for more MTV fun in January – and from the looks of the new trailer, the upcoming 13-episodes will somehow manage to top even the first two batches.

In a clip released to Access Hollywood on Wednesday, the charismatic cast is seen engaging in their usual outrageous antics including taking a ride down the house stairs via mattress, doctor visits (think rubber gloves, snap! Yes, that kind of visit), blowing the “grenade whistle,” phone-slamming, falling off of stripper poles and catfights – lots and lots of catfights.

The trailer also reveals a painful breakup for Jenni “JWOWW” Farley and hints that veteran cast member Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola may be leaving the reality show for good.

Stirring the “Shore” pot is newcomer Deena Nicole Cortese, Snooki’s friend and her new pintsized partner in crime.

Deena makes quite an entrance – stripping for Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, before proclaiming, “It’s a good day for someone to see my goods.”

Speaking of stumblin’ Snooki… the reality favorite REALLY keeps it classy – taking a drunken face-plant into the sand, using a bush as a restroom, falling off of a bicycle and cussing out police officers while being hauled off of the boardwalk in ‘cuffs.

“The dynamic definitely has changed – it’s not one big happy family anymore,” Vinnie says to the camera, before adding, “Hell has to be just like this.”

In related news, 30-year-old Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio is officially getting his own reality show.

Chris Linn, MTV’s Executive Vice President of Programming and Head of Production announced on Wednesday that the network has closed a series option deal with Pauly.

“At the heart of ‘Jersey Shore’ is the unique and genuine cast and Pauly D. truly embodies both qualities,” Chris said in a statement released to Access on Wednesday. “He’s distinguished himself onscreen as the fun-loving, well-coiffed and dependable guy you can’t help but want to hang out with. We know viewers are curious about his life away from the shore and we look forward to exploring new possibilities around that.”
