Scarlett Johansson Says, ‘No Nip Tuck For Her’: After the young actress landed on the cover of the new Us Weekly with a cover story about young celebrities going under the knife, the actress is firing back. Scarlett’s camp told OK! Magazine, “Us Weekly’s cover story regarding Scarlett Johansson and its clear implication that she has had plastic or cosmetic surgery on her nose is an outrageous and defamatory fabrication lacking any conceivable basis or proof, despite vehement denials by Ms. Johansson prior to publication.” And it doesn’t stop there, the actress is reportedly going to sue the magazine.
Cable Comes To CBS: Someone else you should think twice before messing with is “Dexter,” and he could be coming to network television. In an effort to save the television season, CBS is digging around in its cable channels for content, the Hollywood Reporter reports. The president of CBS, Les Moonves, said, “‘Dexter’ is probably the first one to go on — with some edits.” The popular serial killer drama (starring Michael C. Hall) is not the only Showtime show being considered as a network television replacement — the steamy period piece “The Tudors” and dark comedy “Weeds” could also be on network television, for free!
Barack Bags Celebs: With the ongoing writer’s strike, celebrities have more time on their hands, and some are putting it to a political use. Jessica Biel, Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Walsh and Taye Diggs are all backing Democratic presidential primary candidate Barack Obama, and coming together for the “Los Angeles Generation Obama Concert” next week in Los Angeles, US Weekly reports. The A-List actors will be joined by music acts The Goo Goo Dolls and Ne-Yo.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers Gets Lucky: Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers might want to go out an buy himself a lottery ticket, because he’s having one very lucky day. Prosecutors dropped charges against the actor for two charges of public drunkenness and breach of the peace for being abusive after he was refused permission to board a flight to London, The Associated Press reports. The charges were dropped after the actor expressed remorse. Rhys Meyers’ lawyer, Michael Staines, said his client’s behavior at the airport was “unacceptable and out of character,” and that he, “unreservedly apologizes.” The actor plans to make a donation to a charity to acknowledge his indiscretions.
Lohan Spotted With Superheroes: The actress was photographed on the streets of Los Angeles yesterday with the comic book characters, The Incredible Hulk and Batman. She was reportedly filming a commercial — the product, is unknown.
