Stars Get ‘Hands On’ For Breast Cancer
Between the movie premieres, Hollywood parties and jet setting around the world, it’s always nice to see when celebrities take some time to give back.
The stars joined University of Southern California students and fraternity brothers Willie Ebersol, 19, son of Dick Ebersol and Susan Saint James, and Elex Michaelson, 19, to raise awareness of the risks of breast cancer for women and men of all ages.
George Clooney, Keira Knightly and Samuel L. Jackson are just some of the many stars getting “hands on” for Breast Cancer. In an effort to raise awareness of the risks of breast cancer for women and men of all ages, the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) and Lily Tartikoff have partnered with designer James Perse and created t-shirts bearing famous handprints.
Other celebrity supporters include Courteney Cox Arquette, David Arquette, Julianne Moore, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell, Lauren Graham, Tony Hawk, Patricia Heaton, Quincy Jones, Jane Kaczmerak, Chris Matthews, Natasha Henstridge, Scrubs’ Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Ken Jenkins, Judy Reyes, and John C. McGinley, Bradley Whitford, Jimmy Smits, Janel Maloney and Janeane Garafolo.
Each shirt will include a hangtag that has steps for performing a self-exam as well as additional information and resources about breast cancer.The original handprint tees will be auctioned off on charityfolks.com through May 25.
In addition, copies of the George Clooney, Samuel L.Jackson and Keira Knightly handprints will be available at the James Perse stores in Los Angeles, Malibu, Las Vegas and New York for a limited time.
