Lady Gaga Channels Lady Liberty

Lady Gaga is pledging her allegiance to New York City – dressed as the city’s most famous lady!

The chart topper appears on the cover of V Magazine styled as a racy Statue of Liberty – sporting her bra and underwear. Gaga poses alongside designer Marc Jacobs for the mag’s “The New York Issue,” which hit newsstands this week.

The mag also celebrated a host of other NYC icons including actress Chloe Sevigny, musician/producer Mark Ronson, Blondie singer Debbie Harry and Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears.

This isn’t the first time Gaga has shown off her Big Apple pride. Following her June ballpark shenanigans at a Mets game, where she was seen flipping off the paparazzi while sporting only a bra, the singer responded to her critics (which included Jerry Seinfeld).

“A middle finger is more New York than a corporate ambush. I bleed for my hometown, and I’d die for my fans,” she Tweeted at the time.
