Confirmed: Oprah Winfrey Headed To ‘30 Rock’

So long Windy City – Oprah is headed to the Big Apple.

After much speculation, NBC has confirmed that Oprah Winfrey will guest star on an episode of “30 Rock” this season.

Oprah, who will appear in the second episode of the season on Nov. 6, shot her scenes on Saturday, the network revealed today.

“Oprah is very funny in the episode and we are beyond grateful to have her. Also, I would like to announce that we are officially best friends,” said “30 Rock” star and executive producer Tina Fey.

While NBC didn’t reveal any plot details, a previous report by E! Online claimed Oprah would be playing herself in the episode and the storyline would involve a feud between Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski) and Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan).

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Oprah joins the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Megan Mullally and Will Arnett as guest stars for the upcoming season.

And while the A-listers continue to line up for guest spots on “30 Rock,” for Tina Fey, landing Oprah is a dream come true.

“I always put it out there that I want Oprah to be on the show,” Tina revealed in an interview with Access Hollywood back in April. “It’s really just a trick because I just want to hang out with Oprah. I’m trying to lure her with the show and it’s not working — I just want to hang out with her and Gayle.”

The new season of “30 Rock” premieres October 30 on NBC.
