Michael Jackson’s Burial Moved Back

Michael Jackson will be laid to rest on Sept. 3, a few days later than expected, Access Hollywood has learned.

A spokesman for the late star told Access on Friday that the private ceremony will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7 PM. It was originally scheduled for what would have been the King of Pop’s 51st birthday, Aug. 29.

As previously reported, the ceremony will be held at the Holly Terrace at the Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif.

The ceremony will be limited to “family and close friends,” the spokesman said in a statement.

Michael died on June 25 after suffering a cardiac arrest. An investigation into the cause of death continues.
