‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Teaser Lands (Watch)

The first teaser from the highly anticipated “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” movie has landed.

The 89-second clip opens on an expansive sand dune, as a seemingly scared and unmasked stormtrooper pops into frame (actor John Boyega).
“There’s been an awakening,” says an ominous voice as the trailer begins. “Have you felt it? The dark side, and the light.”
The teaser, which will screen in select theaters on Friday, also gave a glimpse of Daisy Ridley.

Additionally, the clip also shows a modernized Millennium Falcon, X-wing fighters, a rolling droid, and the back of an ominous figure (cloaked in all black) with a red lightsaber.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
