Taylor Swift Talks Tour, Girlfriends & Why Goats Are Better Than Sheep
Taylor Swift fans are in for something new and exciting at the “The 1989 World Tour.”
“Everything we have ever done, every decision I’ve made on my last tours I wanted to flip it and do the opposite in this one,” the singer told Access Hollywood’s Stephanie Bauer about her upcoming tour that kicks off in Tokyo on May 5, before coming to the U.S. on May 20 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
“So if we had that kind of screen for the last one, I want this kind of screen for this one. Like everything from the technology we’re using, to the lighting, to the visuals, to the cast, to the way we dress, wardrobe – everything is from a different approach,” she explained.

The chart-topper’s new tour will give the fans a just what they want – two hours of live Taylor!
“We’ve been [rehearsing] every day for the last couple of months. And towards the end, for the last couple of weeks we have been doing two run-throughs a day, which is intense because the show is two hours long. It’s got all these insane changes costume changes,” she explained. “I’m singing for two hours straight and it’s been good because you get your stamina up, you get your endurance up to actually go out and play the shows.”
And fans should expect a whole new fashion style from Taylor this time.

“I love the fashion for this one. Every time I’m changing into a new outfit I’m just like, ‘I don’t wanna take this one off! Oh, but I get to put this one on.’ I just love them so much, every outfit. Every outfit has a different vibe to it, it’s so cool. I just love it,” she told Stephanie. “I felt like my show clothes used to seem more costumey and now they are much more chic.”
Taylor credits her new tour style to her girlfriends, some of whom strut the runway for a living.
“You just surround yourself with super models and you just dress better,” Taylor joked.

Taylor’s girl squad – which includes famous faces like Lorde, Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid – is a top priority for the 25-year-old.
“My group of girlfriends have become one of the most important things in my life. Honestly, I think you have to prioritize the things that matter the most to you. And the things that matter the most to me are my friends,” she said. “We’re always in contact. We’re on a million different group texts. We’re just always figuring out when we can coincide our busy schedules and get together… I’ve never been so happy with my group of friends as I am now.”
Something that Taylor is not exactly happy with is… sheep!

Stephanie got to the bottom of Tay’s recent Instagram video, where she proclaimed that “sheep are rude.”
“We went out for rehearsals and we actually moved everyone to this kind of the middle of nowhere-ish farmland, so that we can have a secret location to rehearse and one of the houses we were renting had a bunch of sheep. I would just go, when I had any free time, I would just go and hangout with the sheep and they would be so rude to me,” Taylor said.
But not every barnyard animal was shady with Tay.
“Goats are cool, goats are fine,” she added. “I can tell you this, for a fact, sheep are ruder than goats.”
