Simone Battle: G.R.L., Simon Cowell, Robin Antin Mourn Singer’s Sudden Death
Singer Simone Battle, 25, was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Friday, and on Sunday, members of her girl group (G.R.L.) and “X Factor” boss Simon Cowell took to social media to remember their young friend.
“I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away. She was such a fun nice person,” Simon Tweeted about the former “X Factor” finalist. “It’s such a loss. Rest in peace Simone.”

G.R.L. Tweeted a message from their official Twitter page on Saturday, writing, “Words cannot express the depth of our loss. Simone’s incredible talent was only surpassed by the size of her heart.
“We will carry her memory with us in everything we do,” the group added.
G.R.L. member Lauren Bennett posted a note on Instagram about the loss of Simone.
“We were supposed to conquer togetherââ¬Â¦ we were a team, it wasn’t supposed to be this way. We all worked so hard together, united like family for this dream we all shared, “she wrote. “Things will never be the same without her. The thought of her no longer being here is devastating and shocking for myself and all her loved ones. Please show her love, appreciation and celebrate her life the way she deserves. I love you Simone, thank you for sharing your moment in time with mine.”
Bandmate Natasha Slayton Tweeted, “This isn’t reeeeeeeeal. PLEEEEEEEEEASE come back to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Please.”
Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin (who also created GRL), shared an Instagram photo collage of Simone with the caption, “I’m so beyond devastated by the loss of our beautiful Simone… Simone I will miss your smile, Your adorable laugh, Your loving spirit that you brought to all of us, The joy that you felt when you were singing, dancing, performing, laughing, and goofing around with your GRLs, and most of all the beautiful friendship and bond that tied us all together, that will forever be in my heart.
“How lucky we are to have had You in our lives Simone,” she continued. “You inspired us all, and touched fans all around the world with your sweet sweet voice and talent…. We will NEVER forget… I Love you sweet Simone Rest in Peace.”
