‘Nashville’s’ Lennon & Maisy Stella Cover Charli XCX’s ‘Boom Clap’

Musical sister duo Lennon and Maisy Stella are taking the Internet by storm once again with their cover of Charli XCX’s hit “Boom Clap.”

Lennon plays guitar and Maisy taps her foot in a video they posted online on February 3.

“You guyzzzz!!! Thank you thank you thank you all!!! Amazing :),” Lennon and Maisy Tweeted in gratitude of how many views their trending video is getting.

The girls first went viral in 2012 when they posted a video of themselves singing “Call Your Girlfriend” by Robyn & Erato. They accompanied their voices with the clapping of their hands and rhythmically tapping what appears to be a plastic butter container on a table.

This technique was also demonstrated by Anna Kendrick in “Pitch Perfect” and Miss America Kira Kazantsev, except they used a plastic cup instead.

Lennon and Maisy brought their YouTube fame to primetime TV. The biological sisters also play onscreen siblings – Maddie and Daphne Conrad – on “Nashville.”

“Nashville” airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on ABC.
