Billy Bush: If Paris Can Do It Part VI
What one gifted producer did with Paris Hilton?s raw vocal, two men ? David Foster and his technical wizard Jokum attempted to do with Billy?s track.
But would the public accept their studio wizardry?
Billy was about to find out as he visited KIIS FM radio host Ryan Seacrest.
?Let?s get this song moving,? Billy exclaimed upon entering the studio.
The song began to play.
?My God,? Ryan exclaimed to the heavens.
?Honestly, my first thought was ?How corny is this,? he added.
The song continued playing ?There?s a simmmmpppllleeee honestyyyyy.?
Ryan listened intently, concentrating on the words.
?Lyrically, I gotta tell ya, it builds,? the radio host exclaimed.
All of a sudden lights began to blink on the radio station phones.
Ryan answered.
Hear Billy’s Single
?I?m not kidding. It makes me cry,? a woman sighed.
Ryan wasn?t buying it.
?If I had threeeeeeeeeee wishessssss,? the song continued on.
?Missed it there man,? Ryan giggled.
Billy?s heart sunk. What would Ryan?s final verdict be?
A wait ensued.
?I loved this song,? Ryan exclaimed. ?I am so proud of you.?
?Over 90 percent of people who called in liked it,? he added.
Billy had won over Los Angeles but his test was not over.
He journeyed to New York to meet Scott and Todd of WPLJ.
And so they put the song on air.
?It?s beautiful,? the DJ exclaimed.
?Absolutely beautiful,? Traffic director Joe Nolan chimed in.
Billy couldn?t quite believe it.
?That was the most beautiful song I ever heard,? a caller claimed.
With radio a resounding success, Billy had one more place to go, the top. He would meet record impresario Clive Davis.
?I’ve known Billy since he was 6 years old,? he began. ?Keep your day job.?
Ouch.
Dejected, Billy opted for one final stop, the Virgin megastore, where he would face the court of public opinion.
?The voice is good,? one woman sighed.
Another wasn?t buying it.
?Tell him not to quit his job,? she stated.
