Justin Bieber Thanks Mom For Shortening His ‘Stupid Phase’

The Biebs shared a photo of his mom, Pattie Mallette, on Instagram on Sunday with a heartfelt and refreshingly self-aware caption.

“This little 4’9″ woman may not look like a mom but she is, and she’s the best at it!” he wrote. “This woman taught me everything I know, how to love how to be compassionate how to be strong when the only thing u wanna be is weak how to stand when all you want to do is fall.”

The 21-year-old star, who’s made headlines for some not-so-great reasons in the last couple of years, thanked his mom for helping him get on a better path.

“If it wasn’t for this woman let’s just say I would have had a way LONGER stupid phase,” he continued. “I love u and thank u for not giving up on me!”
