On The Download: My Life Would Suck Without Kelly Clarkson

Thank goodness! Kelly Clarkson is back!

Her latest single, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” hit radio yesterday (timed perfectly with the premiere of Season 8 of “American Idol”!), and it’s truly a return to form — Pop rocker girlie goodness, sung by one of the best voices out there.

Haven’t heard it yet? You can take a listen to it HERE.

Think it sounds a little bit like “Since U Been Gone”? You’re right! It does! And thank goodness, because that song was certainly amongst a lot of Pop music lovers’ favorites of the past decade!

Now, that being said, I am amongst the few who actually liked Kelly’s 2007 album, “My December.” In fact, I loved it. It’s been written far and wide about how “December,” Kelly’s third album, was a serious departure for the first season “American Idol” winner.

Sure, it was personal and not as sugarcoated (literally) as the attached key art for the latest single – but it also gave her a bit more indie cred and insight into who she is as an artist. It also contained my favorite never released Kelly track: “How I Feel” – which was very traditional Pop Kelly.

Kelly’s fourth studio album, “All I Ever Wanted,” is due out March 17.

Hopefully, the rest of it is as fun as this single. But secretly, I hope there’s a bit of her darker side included buried in the track listing as well.
