‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Gets A Reboot
“I Know What You Did Last Summer” is coming back to the big screen!
The 1997 movie – starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. – is getting the reboot treatment at Sony, Deadline and Entertainment Weekly reported.
“Oculus” co-writer/director Mike Flanagan and partner Jeff Howard will produce the movie based on the 1973 Lois Duncan book, which the first film was also based on.

The original horror movie turned into a box office success pulling in $125 million worldwide. It also spawned two sequels, 1998’s “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” and the straight-to-DVD “I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer” in 2006.
No word on casting or if any of the originals stars will appear in the reboot.
The movie is slated to hit theaters in 2016.
