Scarlett Johansson Directed By Sister Vanessa Johansson For New Project
Scarlett Johansson is
keeping it in the family for her latest gig.
The “Avengers”
star paired up with her older sister, Vanessa Johansson, for a new Audible
project, according to People.
Vanessa directed her
award-winning sibling as she narrated Lewis Carroll’s classic book,
“Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.”
“It was kind of a
no-brainer,” the 36-year-old told the mag of directing Scarlett, 31.
“We’re very close and, as you can imagine, have been playing around and
doing funny voices since we were little so it was great project for the two of
us because we’re so used to inventing together.”
Working together didn’t
really feel like “work” for the sisters.
“There was a lot of laughter, a lot of goofiness happening. The story
certainly warrants a lot of that,” Vanessa said. “It’s a total wacky,
crazy story – we were like, ‘Oh my god, that was written for children?!’ It’s
so out-there, really!”
Scarlett and Vanessa’s
take on “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” will be available for sale
on Audible and Amazon on February 23.
