Rep: ‘Version’ Of Sean Penn Haiti Life-Saving Report True
Sean Penn’s humanitarian trip to Haiti has found the actor in a real-life rescue, his rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.
“I can’t confirm as reported, but yes, a version of that story happened,” his rep told Access of a previous TMZ report, which claimed Sean had saved the lives of a woman and orphan child who were “badly injured in the rubble of a collapsed building.”
Sean reportedly drove an hour-and-a-half to assist the pair and brought them back to his residence on the island after their injuries were cared for.
The star is in the earthquake-stricken nation with his Jenkins-Pitt Haitian Relief Organization.
“Sean Penn, his amazing volunteers with the J/P HRO, doctors and military all contribute,” the rep told Access. “Real stories of lifesaving go on everyday with his organization.”
Sean is still in Haiti with his organization, the rep added.
