Noah Galloway’s Girlfriend Explains How She Pulled Off ‘DWTS’ Surprise

Noah Galloway was in for quite a surprise on Monday night’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

The ab-baring military vet dedicated his country-themed samba to girlfriend Jamie Boyd, who he thought was still at basic training for two more days.

He and pro partner Sharna Burgess got rave reviews from the judges for their routine to “Homegrown Honey” by Darius Rucker.

“I thought the rhythm in your hips put a smile on my face,” Len Goodman said. “I’m 70 years old and I’m getting jealous. Just button that shirt up.”

“I love the twist. The samba in the Western. And it worked and it’s sexy,” Bruno Tonioli added. “The way you use your core, it makes you so stable on the floor…You’re on time and you’re in control.”

The pair then headed upstairs to receive their score of 27 out of 40, but Noah got more than he ever expected – as he was being interviewed by host Erin Andrews, Jamie snuck up from behind to surprise him!

“That’s an 11 in my book, baby,” she praised his performance after the two embraced in an emotional moment.

After the show, Noah, Jamie and Sharna spoke to Access Hollywood‘s Shaun Robinson about the ambush.

“She had told me that she’d get a chance to watch the show and I was impressed with that. I was like, ‘Wow, that is awesome that they’re gonna let you do that.’ So, I never in a million years would have thought that she would have been standing there when she was,” Noah said of his shocked reaction. “It was like it wasn’t really her. She just jumped on me. And it was just amazing to hold her and squeeze her.”

Jamie – who said she had been hiding out incognito at the hotel since early in the morning – explained how the unexpected visit came about.

“It was Sgt. Major, First Sgt., everybody at Fort Leonard Wood – they brought me in and they said, ‘Listen, we’re gonna let you go surprise him on Monday night.’ And I didn’t even know how to react. I was speechless and I’m never speechless. And they said, ‘But you have to keep it a secret. You can’t tell him.’ So it was so hard, but it was so important to me to be able to come and surprise him because I’m so proud of him,” she said.

Jamie also promised she’ll be cheering Noah on from inside the ABC ballroom after she graduates from basic training in two days.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
