What’s The Cruise Connection To Karr’s Flight?

The man at the center of the JonBenet Ramsery case, John Mark Karr, made his way back to the states in odd style Sunday.

And on the set of CBS? ?Cold Case,? Access Hollywood found out that the whole ugly affair hits close to home.

Media madness as John Mark Karr arrives at the Bangkok airport enroute to Los Angeles.

?He did spend a good half hour primping himself prior to landing,? one passenger told reporters after the flight.

Karr did have six cameras shooting his every move on the 15-hour flight. Access spoke to cameraman Tom Piozet, who was in business class with the suspect.

?He did stop and kinda talk to some of the other passengers who were getting on the plane and say to the media, ?I’m fine? was his only comment,? Tom told us.

The 41-year-old Karr?s one-way ticket cost around $2,400. He drank champagne and dined on pate and fried prawns.

He also watched Tom Cruise?s ?The Last Samurai.?

?They let him go in to use the facilities by himself, but they kept the door ajar,? said David Gregory, on the ?Today Show.?

Perhaps they wanted to make sure Karr didn?t hurt himself.

After the plane landed about 9:20 p.m. Sunday, Karr was escorted to the Twin Towers jail facility in LA, where Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Blake were once held.

As for Karr?s breakfast in jail? A little different than business class ? cereal and fruit.

?He’ll be in isolation, and he’ll be accompanied by our deputy sheriffs at all times,? said Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff?s Department.

The show?s executive producer, Veena Sud, told Access Hollywood?s Tony Potts that they could do a ripped from the headlines story with the Ramsey case on their show.

?What were your thoughts when you heard about the guy who is confessing and, you know, did you automatically go procedural and go he did it, he didn’t do (it)?? Tony asked.

?My first thought when I heard about all of it is that this is a real case,? Danny told us. ?We deal with fiction.?

?This is a fasciniating case,? Veena told us. ?I wanna see how it ends up and maybe some time down?some time in the future we will potentially do a case like it.?
