Warren Sapp Arrested In Miami Beach

Former NFL star and “Dancing with the Stars” runner-up Warren Sapp was arrested on Saturday in Miami Beach, according to The Associated Press.

The former athlete, now an NFL Network analyst, was reportedly charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery and is expected to stand before a judge in court on Sunday.

Sapp will not be part of the NFL Network’s Super Bowl coverage thanks to the incident, spokesman Dennis Johnson told the AP.

“We have been made aware of the arrest of Warren Sapp by the Miami Beach Police Department,” the network said in a statement. “In light of these circumstances, Warren Sapp will not appear on NFL Network while we review the matter.”

Sapp was a finalist on the seventh season of “Dancing with the Stars,” partnering with Kym Johnson. He finished second to Brooke Burke, who partnered with Derek Hough to take the crown.
