Adam Levine Reacts To Taraji P. Henson’s Coldplay/Maroon 5 Mix-Up

“Empire’s” Taraji P. Henson mistook Super Bowl
halftime performers Coldplay for Maroon 5 last Sunday, but “The
Voice” coach and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine didn’t mind.

“It’s awesome no matter what,” Adam told Access
Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez on “The Voice” set on Wednesday.

“It was a deeply passionate Tweet,” Adam said of Taraji’s post, which read “YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!! #maroon5 is life to me!!!!”

“It was so sweet,” he continued. “It was
like, ‘Maroon 5 is life.’ And I’m like, ‘It’s not Maroon 5.'”

Adam told Liz he saw the sincerity behind Taraji’s social
media post.

“It was funny ’cause I was like, ‘It was so sincere,’
which is why I’m not mad at her about it,” he said.

Taraji’s original post is no longer on her Instagram page,
and she took ownership of the mix-up on Sunday, Tweeting, “Oooooooopppps. Lmao! #Superbowl50.”

“The Voice” returns February 29 at 8 PM ET/PT on NBC.
